Sleep-away Camp and Overnight Respite are wonderful opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to have an enjoyable summer vacation, or a weekend to escape the busy city and enjoy nature in beautiful towns in upstate New York.  This also offers much needed opportunities for families to take a break from the responsibilities of caregiving.

Our camps, Camp Anne and the Katy Isaacson Elaine Gordon Lodge, offer vacation opportunities to adults and children with developmental disabilities.  Both sites are fully wheelchair-accessible and ADA-compliant.

Childrens Aid – Wagon Road Camp

The Overnight Respite program is a Medicaid Waiver Service offered for developmentally delayed children and youth ages 7-17 and authorized by the New York State Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.  We provide a unique overnight program offered nine times each year on weekends and holidays. Our program combines 24-hour childcare with a camp setting. Ramapo for Children

Summer Adventure…. Every summer, Camp Ramapo serves more than 500 youth with special needs on our beautiful Rhinebeck campus. Ramapo provides an opportunity for campers with a wide range of needs—from nonverbal elementary-age children to teens needing help building essential conflict resolution skills—to experience success.
Camp Ramapo’s Alumni Week – Are you looking for an exceptional camp experience for your adolescent or young adult? In late August, Camp Ramapo offers a unique, week-long session specifically designed for neurodiverse campers ages 16 to 29. This smaller, more unique session provides an ideal experience where older campers can enjoy a variety of activities within a highly structured and supportive environment. It is the perfect opportunity to foster independence and build confidence in a safe and engaging setting
