    1. Families and self-advocates can help set the advocacy agenda for the coming year by completing the Developmental Disabilities Advocacy Survey through the Manhattan DD Council website https://www.manhattanddcouncil.org/developmental-disabilities-advocacy-survey.

  • The Family & Professional Resource Fair brochure was distributed.
  • The Service Provider Vendor Letter was distributed.
  • A sample of the “parent bag” was presented. There are 500 in total.
  • Provided updates on: venue, budget, packets, translation assignments, food proposal, raffles, gift bags, signage, AV needs and volunteers.
  • Assignments were given to attendees.
  • Jennifer Shaoul requested suggestions on who to ask for donations for “parent bags.” A copy of the solicitation letter for such items can be found with attached documents.
  • Next Fair meeting will be December 9th.
  • We will need a lot more agency staff to assist in the logistics of this event. Please contact Amy Bittinger via her email address to volunteer for the day.
